We happened to visit on Día de los Muertos, which meant dinner came with dancers, music, and a full-on celebration of life.

A little hidden gem in Las Vegas. Welcome to Mystic Falls at Sam’s Town.

Most visitors never make it out here, but it is one of the most unique spots in the entire city. Mystic Falls sits inside an indoor park filled with trees, waterfalls, wildlife scenes, and a relaxing atmosphere that feels miles away from the Strip.

They have a nightly laser and fountain show and a full holiday display in the winter, but I visited outside of those times, so this video is all about the peaceful walk through the space.

If you want something different on your next Vegas trip, this spot is worth the detour.

What’s awesome now: a totally reimagined gallery organized around themes instead of a straight timeline, shining artifacts old and new, room to explore a 1914 Longren biplane up close, a historic steam locomotive and log cabin, and immersive exhibits that ask not just what Kansas was, but what Kansas means to each of us now.
